How to properly put in a Tampon?

So I'm 14, and I've been wanting to try to use tampons since I love swimming in the summer and hate to wear pads. My mom can't help since she never wore tampons. (She is an older mom) I've tried tampons a few times but can never get them comfortable. I know everybody says your supposed to not be able to feel them if done correctly. So PLEASE HELP!!!

Well, from experience it’s easier to put them in sitting, but I feel like I can get it deeper in there while standing. so in turn, you can’t feel it as much. It’s kinda just trial and error maybe you just need to get used to the feeling of a tampon because even though people say you can’t feel it, you sorta can depending on you postion. It’s sort of like starting to wear thongs, just takes getting used to.

The biggest thing it to relax when you insert it!! Try not to be nervous because it will just make you too tense to insert it.

I squat. Insert at like a 45 degree angle toward your butt. Wiggle it around until it feels comfortable and as deep as possible, then push the thingy and pull out the plastic bit. Ps the most comfortable ones I’ve found are Tampax Pearl

I find it easier to sit for insertion. Reach down, find your vagina, and slide the tampon in. I never get them in a comfortable position while standing, so you might just want to try various positions until you get the hang of it.

Look at the instructions that come with them, if that still doesn't help then maybe look it up online? I always stand to put mine in. Just make sure it's in far enough, & if you're hardly bleeding then I would just wear a pad/panty liner. It's always uncomfortable to me when I'm barely bleeding.
