When did you have your baby shower?

When do most people have a baby shower? I’m wanting to do mine between 26 and 30 weeks but is that too early? I don’t want to wait much longer than that because I’m waiting to buy anything myself until I see what all we get from the baby shower.

I’mdue June 26th and  doing mine at 27 weeks(Easter weekend) for a Few reasons. 1) we’re moving memorial weekend and I dont want to have to worry about packages going to the wrong address 4 weeks before I’m due. 2) my nephews birthday is may 2nd so I won’t be in town3) April is gonna be a SUPER busy mont, there are deployments going on, bridal showers, wedding anniversaries and so much more going on.  That leaves us Easter weekend which is gonna be busy also with a baby shower, large family photos(my parents and siblings and their families), and of course typical Easter festivities. For us it’s easier to do it earlier and plan out what else we need to get either before our move or after. 🤷🏼‍♀️ you do it when your ready!

I will be 33w3d when I have mine, I don’t really remember when I had mine with my first. I think I had it in August and he was born in October.

my date was chosen for me by the people holding it, and I was terrified that I would go into labor early. I was 37 weeks at my baby shower, and had my son the day before his due date. it felt too late for me, but if they're letting you choose, then choose what works for you.

We had ours early as my friend arranged it and she was going abroad for a few months and didn’t know if she was coming back. I’m glad we did, we got most of our stuff from it and if left any later we would have gone out and bought all the same stuff.
