Should “double jeopardy” be revoked if the person accused later confessed to or having involvement in said crime?

For example if Oj Simpson really did have involvement in Nicole browns murder should he be retried or face consequences for it. 
I thought of this after a couple Instagram post about his upcoming “lost confessions” release promotions

OJ Simpson is fucking terrible though. I wish we would all collectively just decide to ignore him.

In cases where new evidence comes to light cases can be reopened or cases can be over turned as a mistrial. There’s a lot of legal proceedings that have to happen and I do t fully grasp all of it.

For everyone talking about OJ, the Goldman family basically took him for everything he had after he got a not guilty verdict. Look into it. They bought the rights to the if I Did It book and were the ones who produced it. 
OJ was found liable for both their deaths and was supposed to pay the Goldman’s $30 million. He lost everything because of that. A judge ordered him to live on a normal persons salary too. 
Buttttttt then he went to jail for that armed robbery thing and just got out in October. So I wander if he’s allowed to make new money now. I think the Goldmans will still keep the fight alive to block him though.
