When to install car seat?

36+3 currently. When do people usually install the car seat in their cars?

I waited til i had her. I didn't want to be driving around and get in an accident and have to replace it before I even got to use it.

We won’t install ours until go time, I don’t think. We have a dog, so I don’t want the car seat to get covered in hair before she gets here! Plus, all we will be installing is the two bases. The car seat will need to go back and forth between our cars, so it probably just depends on whichever car seems easiest when I’m trying to waddle out of the house.

With my first we waited till after I had her, my husband had to run home anyway the next day to let our dog out and clean up the mess from my water breaking in bed and to get his insulin, since my water break while we were asleep so it was a mad dash out the door when we woke up
