Missed period and ovulation?

I’m 16 days late for my period. Going to doctor In two days.... should I be testing for ovulation ? I’m hoping I’m pregnant but keep getting bfn! I don’t want to missed a chance this month if I am not pregnant though... should I be testing opk if I missed a period??
