So, this is my very first pregnancy and I am reaching out to those mommies who experienced light bleeding during pregnancy and have healthy babies. I noticed yesterday when I was using the bathroom, that the toilet paper had a pinkish brown tinted mucus and a very small blood clot. I called the nurse line as I had no idea what was wrong and because of my explanation of mild cramping, she told me to go to the ER. Well I had a blood HCG test and an ultrasound, where my HCG level was around 3500 and the ultrasound did show a gestational sac, but not yet a yolk sac or fetal pole. I’m guessing to be around 5-6 weeks. I’m going in tomorrow for another HCG test to make sure that it is doubling within the 48 hours. Has anyone had this happen and had a completely normal pregnancy? I know I’m very early on but I am just concerned that they diagnosed me with “threatened abortion.” Today when wiping I noticed a light brown mucus which I am assuming is from all the examinations and ultrasound from yesterday.
