I think it’s courteous to be clean before oral, and there’s nothing wrong with that, and we usually are like that, but if he’s just been at work all day (works a sedentary chemistry job) I’d do it even if he didn’t shower after work.

Doesn’t bother me as long as it’s clean. My husband washes off his penis every time he uses the bathroom so I don’t have a problem 🤷🏽‍♀️
