Can’t get pregnant

I got pregnant in 2014 but I wasn’t ready at the time i was in a terrible situation. Long story short I had a D&E; abortion (Dilation and Evacuation) at around 21-21 weeks. My boyfriend and I know we’re ready now and have been trying for a year but no luck. I keep track of my ovulation days and periods. Do you think having that abortion could be causing our problem? And what should i do? What are some ways to get pregnant? i need some advice .... thank you
