I've been dreading my son's upper lip tie since I've noticed it! When his teeth came in at 6 months I noticed they were more spaced than I thought they should be and didn't really know about lip ties but he did have a hard time watching and I had to pump. So for the last 9 months and after talking to his pediatrician I've been accepting he'll have his lip tie and hopefully didn't have speech or teeth problems.

Well seems today he didn't feel like he wanted it anymore. He was playing with his wagon and the handle slipped and some how he caught his upper lip on the handle and cut his lip tie 😲

Of course I flipped out because there looked like a lot of blood. Apparently it's pretty common with kids with lip tie and heels on its own. As sad as I am it happened I guess I'm sort of relieved he won't have to deal with it. Anyone else's LO cut a lip tie?
