I ep’d for 11 months. To me, that flange looks way too small. I’d go up a size. I dont recall size i used but i had about 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch around my nipple while pumping.

You only want your nipple in the tunnel. If your areola is being sucked in, it's too big. I personally couldn't tell so I marked my nipple with a marker and then pumped to see where the marks ended up. My nipples measure 19mm, and 21mm flanges ended up being right for me.

I notice the same thing with bigger flanges, I actually get more  milk with a 21mm flange.  I'd go off how it feels.
