TTC with an IC

hey ladies, I found out I had an incompetent cervix when I went into labor with my son at 27 weeks. By the grace of God and some good doctors, I made it to 35 weeks and gave birth to a healthy son. I've been told over and over again that he is a miracle, and that we could have easily lost him in the first trimester, or when I went into early labor. 15 months later, we are thinking about ttc, but I'm terrified. Terrified of all the things I now know can go wrong, of being put on bed rest again, of losing a child. Anyone have advice for me? How soon did you have your first appointment after getting a positive? I know first trimester losses are common with IC. Thanks in advance, much love!
