Caesar salad alternative?

Is Caesar dressing okay to eat while pregnant? If not, does anyone know if there’s a Caesar dressing or have a recipie for one without anchovies...? I’m 5 weeks 2 days pregnant and all I want is Caesar salad lately haha.

Commercial caesar is okay because it's pasteurized. Basically a good rule of thumb (at least as I've read) is if you buy it off a shelf and not from a refrigerated area it's okay to eat.

Anchovies aren’t the problem.  Caesar dressing is made with raw egg, so you don’t want to order it at a restaurant.

It’s totally fine to eat - such a small amount of anchovies :)

Just ask the restaurant if they make the dressing with raw eggs or not. A lot of places surprisingly do not make it with raw eggs.
