When to announce?! Fear of miscarriage ))):

Hey guys, so I’m 11 weeks pregnant and I’ve had a horrible fear of miscarrying ever since I found out at 5 weeks. I am constantly having dreams
of miscarrying which is making my fear worse! Anyway, I was wondering when it is safe to announce that I’m pregnant on social media and to the world?

There is no right answer. I miscarried twice last year and this time we told our family and close friends around 6 weeks. We wanted to support of those that are close to us if anything happened. Thankfully this pregnancy is going well and I'll be 25 weeks this week. 
I believe we announced to social media around 13 weeks. At this point we actually had 4 good ultrasounds already. 
You tell people whenever you're ready to. If you are truly scared of miscarrying I suggest talking about it and telling those close to you. Keeping those feelings in can be toxic.

I feel the same way, 11w3d and terrified since so many around me have miscarried. I have told 3 people and that was a week ago. I have dreams just like you do, it’s so hard!!!

We are announcing on Easter weekend after I have my 12 week ultrasound if everything looks good. I had two miscarriages last year and no one (except my brother and a friend) knows I was ever pregnant. I figure if everything looks good at the 12 week ultrasound, then chances high that it’s a good pregnancy. And if god forbid something happens after that, I would definitely need the support and understanding of my family at that point.

i think this is sooo common for everyone because i always think about it in the back of my mind. but the less stress the better!

It’s ultimately up to you and what you and the father feel comfortable with. It’s pretty common to wait until 12-13 weeks when miscarriage is a lot less likely. Personally, my fiancé and I have had 2 miscarriages the first one we told close family and friends at 6 weeks as soon as found out then miscarried a week later. The second time we didn’t tell anyone and now this time we are waiting until 12 weeks to share. But again all up to you to determine when you’re comfortable.
