The point of a baby shower is usually to shower the mother with gifts for the baby. The necessities. You usually have all of necessities for your first so you don’t typically have another. I feel it is kind of rude to give yourself another baby shower since if you word it that way it’s basically asking ppl to buy you gifts. That being said, if someone offers to host a sprinkle, that is different and I’ve seen that many times. I would never ask someone to host for me, but if my best friends want to throw a small get together for me that is really sweet!

I don’t have any kids but i would do a baby shower for all of my kids, why do a baby shower for the first one and then not the rest?

We are having our 2nd girl and decided to do a sip n’ see instead of a baby shower. I just didn’t really feel right about another shower since we had 2 big parties for the 1st one and she’s not even two yet. So people will come over after baby is born, sip some bubbly, and see the baby for the first time. We have a little registry on amazon so people can bring something if they want but it’s all about welcoming baby not so much about showering with gifts... but you may still get them!

I would only do that for our second baby if we have a girl, since we’re expecting a boy in May. And even then, it would probably only be a sprinkle- not a full shower.

I don’t see the point in doing a gift themed one if you already have everything you need. But it’s a celebration too! It’s like babies 0 birthday party! 😂 is 100% have one. 
I have 7 years between my pregnancies and have no baby items at all for this one, so I’ll definitely be having a shower for this number 2. 
But I’d do it either way. Gifts or not. To celebrate them and my pregnancy 😊

So I am pregnant with my second and my first JUST turned 1 years old (huge party).  I am not hvinga big baby shower but may have smaller gatherings.
