Would you let your mom come to your anatomy ultrasound?

This will be my moms first grandbaby, and it’s our rainbow. She is VERY excited. She asked if she could come to our anatomy scan, and I’m not sure how I feel about her possibly coming... 😬 personally I don’t really care if she comes, but I think my hubby would prefer if she didn’t.
Do you think it should be the parents only, or should grandparents come too?

We chose to not bring anyone else because we knew it’d be a slippery slope of more people wanting to come. But I don’t see a problem in general with inviting others as long as it doesn’t cause drama. However, if your husband minds, you should respect his opinion.

I think you are your hubby should talk about it. I don't have a good relationship with my mom, and her at ANY event I am at is never a good thing. So that's a no from me, but if you guys all get along and your SO wouldn't mind, then it's fine!

There's nothing wrong with grandparents coming, but if your husband does want it to be just you 2 then that is more important than the desires of the grandparents.

It depends on how your/his mom is. I would rather it be more of an intimate moment with me and my husband, but that’s because my mom is more of an emotionless kind of person and I feel like that would put a damper on things (not to mention she’s not going to be thrilled I’m pregnant in the first place). I also wouldn’t want my MIL there because she is a very loud person. But if she is someone who is very positive, calm, and supportive, I wouldn’t have a problem with that.

My mom and husband and my little sister were lol there during my scan. I don’t see my sister a lot  and my husband doesnt come to any apps besides the ultrasounds ( I don’t want him missing work for a 5 min prenatal app lol) and my mom is always coming no matter what. She’s my best friend and this is her first grandchild and she’s super supportive so of course she came . But I know a lot of people only want themselves and their hubby there

My mom wanted to come to my 12w US but couldn’t because she was having a colonoscopy done. But she’s coming to my anatomy appt April 9th and I’m excited for her to see my baby move. :)

I invited my mom but we already knew the sex of the baby before 20 weeks so it was just so she could be involved. But, she missed it by a couple mins which was ok because he didn't cooperate that week anyway. But, I did talk it over with my husband first before inviting her
