One HCG level means virtually nothing on its own. You need a second value to compare and see how fast it’s going up. THATS more important as the range for “normal” HCG values is so huge but the doubling rate gives more info on viability

You need more then one hcg test to tell but a test of 72 is nothing to worry about if you google hcg levels by week
