Are second babies usually bigger than your first?

My second was bigger.. son was 8 lb even and my daughter was 9 lb 2 oz. but I’m sure that’s not true for everyone. They also say second babies are more likely to arrive sooner than first borns, my son was 9 days late and my daughter was 12 days late so that was a bust for me.

First was a week early at 7.7, second son was 7.3 at 9 days early. I’m pregnant with a girl this time around and I’m hoping it stays on a nice pattern lol hoping for not a huge baby since my last one was burning my crotch haha

I think it depends. My first one was 8 pounds five ounces and my second one was 5 pounds 15 ounces. I ate a lot healthier and waked a lot with my second one. So I don’t think that’s necessarily true.

For me it appears to be based on gender. My first (girl) was 6lbs 11oz, second (boy) was 7.5lbs, and third (girl) was 6lbs 5oz. My mom's only son was her largest baby too.
