Good restaurants in CT&RI?

Anyone have any good recommendations for a picky eater out there?
My boyfriend basically only eats meat/cheese, no veggies/fruit or seafood!
Looking for good lunch/dinner places out there while we’re on vacation for 2 days. I’m always open to try new things however he is stubborn!! He loves small diners, long shot to ask on here but :)

What part of CT? I'm assuming eastern, near RI border in which case I can't help... but if you will be more western CT I can make some suggestions..

When I'm going somewhere, I take a look around the area on Google maps and look at restaurants' menus beforehand. Seeing as he's the picky one, maybe finding restaurant options is something he ought to take some time to do and share them with you.
