My insurance covered mine but my best friend was charged $545 because her insurance wouldnt cover the test

Mine was $150 out of pocket. I’m not high risk so if I got it through insurance it’d be several hundred because it’s not covered unless you’re high risk. I’m in the 🇺🇸

I think it’s called the NIPT. It ranges up to $800 depending on insurance and what kind of test you do. I thought about doing it but my doctor said they usually offer it for high-risk pregnancies, and I’m low risk. We are doing a simpler version of the prenatal screening without finding out the sex
