Birth Photographer?
My sister in law has offered to take pictures of pur first moments with the baby after her birth. The thing is, I've even told my mom it will just be me and my husband in the room if I make it without an epidural and even if I get an epidural, I want just me and him for the pushing phase. So my SIL would need to be in the room to get photos of the first time we meet baby girl. Now, this SIL is really great and I know she'd be respectful and stay by my head and all that so it's not about not wanting her there for that reason. I'm just not sure how comfortable I am with anyone else sharing in that moment. However, the idea of pictures of our expressions when we see her for the first time is actually appealing to me...and hubby said he'd love to have some but that it's my decision in the end and he fully supports whatever I'm comfortable with. What do you ladies plan to do or what have you done with previous births? Did you have someone there to photograph and regret it? Do you wish you'd had pictures of that first moment but didn't get them? I know there's not a right or wrong but I'd like to hear your stories and opinions as I decide what I want to do.
