Emerge doc made it seem like I was crazy for still breastfeeding my 8&1/2month old

So her reaction caught me off guard. I was at emerge to see if there was anything they could do to help with my back to back back spasms. We were there for a while before we finally got seen. She comes in and starts asking questions. She reads on my file that I still breastfeed. She asks me if it’s true (why would it be on there if I wasn’t ). I answer with a “yes” and she gives me this weird look and asks “why?”

All I’m thinking at this point is really??! So I tell her that my daughter still loves the boob and we plan to breastfeed for a while yet.

She gives me another look before responding with “at least it’s not all the time.”

Don’t know at where she got that idea from. I hadn’t said anything about how many times a day she feeds. I nurse my daughter when she wants it, which is usually every 2-3 hours.

I just let it go and let her keep talking.

I’m not going to change anything based on that, just thought it was odd.

The meds she gave me didn’t do anything, so I am still in pain three days later
