When is an appropriate time to create a baby registry?

I'm a single mom. I'm officially 12 weeks! I've always been a planner and don't really like leaving things to the last minute. Would it be inappropriate for me to put together a registry this early?

I’m only 8+5 and created mine weeks ago. Did all the research and added everything. It’s mainly for hubby and I to keep track of what we need/don’t have and don’t plan on sharing it with anyone unless they ask for it. It was fun to do.

I’m 11+5 but I already started mine, just have a few things so far but it doesn’t hurt to start it! I will wait until we know the gender to add more.

I started ours at week 7 and just keep it set to private. We had 5 friends that had babies in the past year. I looked up the ones they had and noted what was purchased from each one, then added items I knew they liked to ours (because they use the stuff all the time and swear by it). We can change the registry to public closer to when there'll be a shower and update it until then. I was told that even 7 weeks wasn't too early, so you're fine.
