At what time in the relationship do you have sex?

My boyfriend & I have been dating for about 3 months now & we’re both 18. I’m a virgin but he’s not & we’ve done a bunch of foreplay & all of that but i was wondering when do people usually start having sex in relationships. I feel ready but i don’t know if it’s too soon or now

I wasn’t a virgin when I met my current boyfriend, but he was the first person I had meaningful sex with. I waited until we were both comfortable around each other! There really is no “right time” to do it, you just have to be sure that it’s what YOU want to do

I don’t have an actual time line for when i decide to have sex with someone. Sometimes i make my SO wait for 6 months, this current one it was 2. It’s just when you (mainly since you’re the Virgin) feel comfortable to do it. First talk about his past relationships and the girls he had sex with. Honestly it’s weird but it helps you figure out what kind of person he is in bed. As well as whether he was safe during sex because of the possible for STDs. Then ask questions about what he likes in bed, whether he likes to take charge, or whether he likes the woman too. Like i said all these questions will be awkward but in the long run they’re very helpful to make you both feel more comfortable about sex. Hope this helps!

There is no “right time” 
My first and I had sex 3 1/2 months in, dated for 3 years. My Fiancé and I still havent had sex, we have been together 4 years now and he wants to wait till marriage, which I am totally okay with. If you feel like giving up your V-card to someone is what you want to do then go for it. Personally I would tell you to make him wait. If he is only around for sex (regardless of what he says) he won’t stick around if you aren’t providing. And who knows, maybe if you wait till (okay maybe not marriage) but a significant person comes along maybe you will be glad to have waited. At least if you wait for sex till engagement/marriage you know your relationship isnt built on sex! Lol honestly though, its a big choice, one that YOU have to decide if its time for!

We waited 7 months into our relationship. But that doesn’t mean you have too. If you truly feel ready to do it, then go ahead. Just be safe.
