Confused by CM

Hi everyone!

TMI- but today I’m 3 days late for my period and still no sign. I’ve done a test which came back negative so as far as I can tell no baby yet 😔

I have all the usual PMS signs- bloating, constipation etc, but my CM is white and thick, and smells weird. Haven’t ever smelt it like this before. I’ve had thrush etc before and it’s not that kind of a smell, so am wondering if the above might be early pregnancy signs and the test just hasn’t picked it up?

Any advice please?
