I am a 20 year old virgin who is scared of getting pregnant. I live in the south and my family is very traditional in their values. The average age for women to have their first child in my family is around 19, because everyone marries young or gets pregnant and then marries. Despite the many different birth control methods tried, my family is very fertile and easily have many children. I am almost positive that I never want to have children of my own. I also want to stay a virgin until marriage for personal reasons. Oh, and I am not religious so that is not why I am staying a virgin. I feel like my fear of rejection due to having these wants is keeping me from dating and I worry about not finding a guy who accepts them. Any advice on dating as a virgin or getting over a crippling fear of pregnancy?
