Flu shot for baby?

I just read that flu strain b is out and targets younger children as well as those who already got the flu this season. Can a 6 month old get the flu shot? Pros and cons please?

Yes a six month old is the youngest age for a flu shot. It could help prevent the flu (not guaranteed - but with people out there dying from it, I wanted whatever protection I could possibly give my kid).

My baby is 6 months and has her appointment in a couple days and will get the flu shot. The first one at 6 months is done in two doses, one at 6 months and one a month later.

My daughter got the 1st & 2nd round of her flu shot at 6 months. She never got sick and there were no side affects. I was thrilled when her doctor told me she could get the flu shot because of how bad the flu season was this year.

I think they can get it when they are 1 year old, at least were I live I already know that my baby is scheduled to get it then, she's 9 months now so I have to wait!
