confused

So I started spotting Sunday 6 days before period due and then it got a bit heavier Monday but nothing like my normal periods then today had some light bleeding and it's stopped altogether. any ideas what's going on very confused. we have been trying to conceive but I'm completely thrown as to this . It's completely out of the norm for me . normally I have around a 34 day cycle and bleed for 7 days
