Are you offended by the term “pet parent”?
I recently learned that some people think the concept of “pet parenting” is offensive to actual human parents in that it devalues the genuinely hard work of parenting they do every day. The argument continues that it is especially offensive to women who in many circles do the majority of parenting. Do you agree, should people who feel like a form of “pet parent” stop using that phrase because it’s marker real people’s hard lives even harder?
