It took 4 weeks for my baby girl to learn to breastfeed. She would scream Everytime I put her to my breast and wouldn't latch at all. I had been pumping and bottle feeding her my breast milk until recently when she discovered boobs are a good thing. Now, it seems like that's all she wants !!! She will latch, nurse, and stay that way for 1-2 hours sometimes !!!! I get so comfortable with her that sometimes I fall asleep while she is nursing only to wake up an hour and a half later and she is still latched on strong! is there a point where I need to break her latch, give her a pacifier and put her to sleep or is this ok ? I'm not sure how much she is actually nursing vs just using my nipple as a pacifier once she falls asleep. I do get worried because I rarely get the chance to burp her when she does this. Thoughts? Comments?
