Hypothyroidism medication

In 2013 I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and ever since then I have been prescribed medication to regulate my thyroid levels. I just got married in August 2017 and my husband and I have decided that we are ready to start TTC for our first baby. I was taking nature-throid (made out of pigs hormones) and my Endocrinologist has requested that I change to Levothyroxine (synthetic hormones). Now I have to wait two months for the medication to start taking effect before we can start trying in order for me to have a healthy pregnancy (if thyroid levels are not regulated I can have a miscarriage or baby can be born with brain abnormalities). I feel so discouraged sometimes and just by thinking that I might not be fertile due to my condition. Have any of you gone through this same thing? Or have this disorder but have successful pregnancies? Your feedback is much appreciated 💕
