Brown discharge?

Last month I took plan b after a condom broke with my boyfriend and I bled 2 times. First was from the pill second was from my actual period. This month I'm meant to get my period today and I got brown blood. Could this be left over from the hormones and stuff from last month? I am sexually active but I have protective (condom) and careful sex with my boyfriend. I get really anxious about being pregnant so I don't know if the nerves are just affecting me. I should take a pregnancy test but I'm scared to. I also have yet to see if my period is normal bleeding yet.
