anybody else half dead from exhaustion?

C section is making it very challenging to care for baby, I have a latch that is making me wince during feeding, and I feel like I am losing my mind. I don't know how to cope. At the moment, I have meals delivered, but that's ending this week. Husband has taken 3 weeks leave to help but he is all strung out from fussy up-all-night-screaming baby. Love them both so much, am just SO TIRED

My first was a csection. Recovery was the worst! Rest while you can. As far as nursing, it takes some getting use to for your nipples. If it hurts for longer than the first 30 seconds then try and relatch. They usually have free classes at the hospital taught by lactation consultants. Good luck, mama 💕

You got this 🌸 keep going, it will get easier. I had the same, c section after nearly 24 hour labour, recovery is what exhausted me, felt wiped out physically & emotionally. I kept little snacks that had some protein / carbs beside the bed for during the night feeds. Like a pot of creamed rice, etc like if I was doing a marathon & needed nourishment! Everyone kept telling me to ‘rest’ but I didn’t initially take their advice. I wanted to be up & about but I quickly learned if you even got an hours sleep after  every feed it’s amazing how much better you feel. It also supports the healing work of the pain meds prescribed. Keep going girl, it gets better day by day 🐣

I’m having similar issues. I’ve just been pumping and using bottles to feed my baby. I’m going to a class today to try to get some help with latching. The nipple shield does help.

I also had C-section. Life was suck afterwards. However, I gained myself back after 2 weeks. Be patient and give yourself time, things will be better soon. I stopped latching because I didn't have enough milk for my baby and he was tired of latching. ill have to go back to work in a couple weeks. So I just pump my milk and supplement with formula. It wasn't that bad. my baby is happy. Hope things work out for you.
