We sent these instead of christmas cards to our closest friends and family after we heard/saw babies heartbeat and everything looked perfect. We told them not to share the info with anyone, especially social media

We posted this on social media after our 12 weeks appointment when everything looked great.  So our friends and family knew at about 10 weeks and fb world found out about 2 weeks later.

If you send personal cards plus announce on social media, it may seem quite excessive and "braggy" to some. 
I also agree with a pp....anything could go wrong, so I personally wouldn't send cards or go all out. That can be done after the birth.

I personally wouldn't mail a pregnancy announcement because so many things can go wrong in pregnancy and I would feel extra miserable if my baby were stillborn and I'd sent out a bunch of cards. but you do you.

Another thought... isn’t receiving a card more personal than just a text or a Facebook post, or no?
