AM I ALLERGIC TO PADS?!

Question

Everytime I'm on my period I have to wear tampons half the time (which is not keen on because the ones I have ATM are rubbish and not sure which ones to use?)  but pads irritate me soooo much its unreal. Sometimes it makes me itch or it burns and I end up with a rash? Which goes as soon as I come off my period and I'm no longer wearing pads? It doesn't matter what brand it is really they all do it. 
 
Can anyone else relate?

You might try Always infinity pads. They are super thin (yet powerful) and help prevent me from having issues downstairs. I just discovered them last summer and they make all if the difference.

I used to have the exact same problem. L brand organic pads from Target are the way to go. No more irritation!

I was allergic to pads and had rashes, always itched and was always hot and sweaty down there and almost always ended up with a yeast infection at the end of my period. I was showering all the time and changing pads etc. too.  
I switched to cloth pads and don’t have any of that anymore. I make my own and they are so much more comfy and breathable. 
But if you don’t like those, try Lola. I’ve heard some good things about them

It might not be the pads. It might be the alkalinity of the blood touching your skin. Our vagina and secretions are normally more acidic. Is the rash on your inner labia or on the outer labia? Sometimes, I just would just use good old Desitin like I would on a baby. My gynecologist gave me boric acid suppositories to help with the pH imbalance and I use the femme cup (check amazon) to keep the blood off me.  The cup has a learning curve, but it is worth it. I think it took me two months to really figure out how to make it work in my body, but now I have been using it for a few years, and I don’t have any more problems.

I had the irritation and rash and other symptoms from pads. Nothing helped so I switched to tampons. You might want to try always sensitive, they work for my friend who also gets irritation from pads.
