Clumps of formula??

Hi! I’ve noticed a few times lately that when I mix a bottle of formula there are clumps in it! I have to make a new bottle and it’s so wasteful...that formula is expensive!! We use Dr. Brown’s bottles and Enfamil Gentlease formula. I’m a first time mom. He’s four weeks old today. What’s the deal with the formula? What can I do besides stirring every bottle with a fork?

We discovered this pitcher for mixing formula. It makes bottle making a lot easier, no clumps and less bubbles. Also you can make up 4 or more bottles at once.

Are you adding water first or formula first? This would happen when I added the formula first. I usually fill all the bottle with water( cold) than add in the formula and shake it up and refrigerate them.

We’ve been using Enfamil Gentlease since our daughter was 2 weeks old. She’s now 10 months and we’ve never had an issue with clumping. Are you shaking it enough?

We had clumps if the bottle was too small, ie hubby makes 8oz in a 9oz bottle
