You know how they usually take the baby out of the room after delivery so they can bathe him or her and check up on their vitals or whatever else they do? They kept my first away from me for a few hours. I remember being so anxious to see her and annoyed at the hospital staff for keeping her away from me for so long, when they basically preach skin to skin contact after birth and bonding time. I didn't even get to hold her, just seen her for a brief second, then they ran out of the room with her. No complications either, it was just standard procedure at that particular hospital I guess. Now, I'm pregnant again and getting closer to my due date and started thinking, WHAT IF THEY BRING BACK THE WRONG BABY?! I'm kinda being comical here, but at the same time, I've seen movies about this happening.
