Fenugreek pros and cons?

I bought a lactation smoothie from the grocery store to try it, and once I got home realized it said it had Fenugreek in it. I have no experience with Fenugreek.
Thoughts? Pros? Cons? For some reason I feel like there’s a negative connotation around Fenugreek but I honestly know nothing about it.

Fenugreek gave me no supply boost and made my baby have painful gas. 
However other women it does boost their supply and their baby’s don’t get gas. So it’s really up to you if you want to try it.

Fenugreek tea worked great for me to up my supply without any side effects. But fenugreek bars (that have the whole seeds) made my baby really gassy. That's the only side effect I've seen people complain about....that their baby got gassy or loose stools).
