Fighting sleep...literally UPDATE

✨sparkle🐠cubs™️✨ • Twin Momma, 🚨💉💊, married to my best friend, ALLY & bleeding heart liberal!

So my twins will be 20 weeks this Friday & my daughter has started seriously fighting sleep. It gets so bad she scratches at her face, turns bright red, SCREAMS to the point she gags on saliva & kicks her whole body. Nothing will soothe her...not darkness, not silence, not rocking or walking or swaying or singing or patting or shushing. The only thing I can do at this point is try to keep her from hurting herself until she finally passes out. It’s really upsetting to watch & I wonder if I’m missing something? She rarely gives cues for hunger or sleep...she just goes from 0-100 without warning. Is anyone else going through this? Any insight or suggestions?

*UPDATE* Not that anyone has been sitting around waiting with bated breath wondering how my daughter is sleeping 😂, but I had to share because it just feels so damn good to actually figure something out baby wise! So, when we got the go ahead to start introducing cereal into the twins’ diet, my husband stopped at the grocery store on his way home from work & bought some...except we’re first time parents who are apparently clueless lol. So he bought oatmeal & we begin adding it to 1 bottle a day, & then 2. That’s when shit really hit the fan with her fighting sleep, but I didn’t make the connection, other than her having reflux but she takes meds so I just didn’t put the two together. Anyway, yesterday I go to the store on my lunch break to get more cereal & am puzzled when I find myself presented with 2 cereal options, rice or oatmeal...& it hits me.🤦‍♀️ We were supposed to start with rice because it’s easier to digest, which is especially important for babies with reflux. So we gave them a bottle with the rice cereal last night & afterwards she fussed briefly & then passed out from 7pm-3:30am. No spitting up from either baby as well! Thanks for all of your advice!! I’m marking this one down as a win...for the moment.😂
