Newborn hasn't pooped!?

Question

My little man is 9 days old and hasn't pooped in about 19 hours, he's cranky and I know that's the reason. what do I do to help make him go number 2?

I usually go the Vaseline and q tip up his bum. It worked with my son every time. I would usually also push his legs up towards his belly when he was trying to push to help. My son was constipated a ton with his formula and my breast milk

Pedal his legs.. it’s not considered a problem until it’s been at least a week. My baby used to go 3-4 days without pooing and then I changed her formula and she started pooing every day or every 2 days

Ask your ped about giving gripe water. We used it for our daughters colic but she wasn’t that young. She was probably around 3.5 weeks when we started using it with doctor permission so idk about 9 days or not. But every time time we gave it to her it made her poop and I’ve heard that a lot from other mamas who used gripe water! 
The Vaseline on a qtip also works really well.
