C section over dilation ??

I am 40 weeks and no pains yet,cervix is closed and no dilation yet,and I don’t wanna go for induction!! Anyone who went for a c section and satisfied with there decision ?

No dilation currently doesn’t mean you have to do a csection. I would rather do vaginal just for recovery time and not wanting to do a major abdominal surgery.

I’d look at recovery times, there can be a pretty big difference between a vaginal birth and c-section.

I’m a FTM, and am shooting for a vaginal delivery, but i like the idea of elective c-sections! With today’s modern medicine, every momma deserves to birth the way she chooses, whether that’s all natural at home or an elective section. And to not want to do something as well! If you don’t want an induction, I’m sure you have your reason! I decided early on that if my baby had been breach i would’ve declined an ECV and gone for a section.
I would say if you want a c-section, rock on momma! I would just do some research first, as some hospitals and some insurances are not as willing to perform or cover elective cesareans.
