Baby walkers good or bad?

Question

How many months was your little one when you placed them in a walker? 
Are they bad for them? 
I have a 5 month old and I placed him in his walker and he pushed himself a bit but dad says not to put him because he can get hurt? 
I’m a first time mom so I need others opinion.

Our ped said no walkers, they teach bad form.

Baby walkers are no longer recommended because they’re not safe and they can lead to developmental/motor delays. In fact, they’re even illegal in Canada now.

I've been told no walkers by every doctor my kids have had. I opted for one of the push toys instead.

I put my son in one when was 5 months you just have to watch them if they tip over to much or you have stairs.. my son is now 8 months and doesnt care for it since he can crawl now

I put my daughter in it I think around 6 months. And she only used it for a month.. very rarely though.. and she doesn’t have bad form and it walking perfectly.

I put my daughter in one at 6 months and she used it up to 10months when she finally started to walk. I kept an eye on her when she was in it

All my kids used walkers and they're just fine. We just made sure to watch them while they were in it and didn't let them around in them too long. An hr or so was good enough,  just so I could fold laundry or wash the dishes and prepare a quick meal.

I think my lo was 5 months. We don’t put him in long than 30 minuets.  We always watch him when he is in it.  My son loves his walker. He is now 9 months.

We started using an exersaucer around 4 months.
Walkers are considered dangerous and I think I read on here they are banned in Canada.  If the baby takes the walker down the stairs things don’t always end well.
Alternatives to walkers include exersaucer and jumperoos...where the kid can bounce or go in a circle, but even then people have strong opinions about using them.
