Back story(TMI): I’ve had a yeast infection for 3 weeks and it’s not going away even with medicine from my gyno and using Monistat. I also have a rash (red patchy skin that’s really itchy and sometimes leaks clear liquid) and a cut that my doc said could be herpes.

She did a swab thing (a culture) of it and it came back negative. She also said it could be a hair follicle infection and gave me medicine for both herpes and the hair follicle infection, neither one is helping. For all this I went to my gyno cause I thought it could all be related to the yeast infection but she seemed very concerned and confused by the red patchy rash and a few cuts. It’s also kinda crusty around the edges of labia majora. I know it sounds gross and it is and it itches but I promise I wash it well with just water.

So for the rash and stuff would I go to a gynecologist or a dermatologist?

So if you’ve experienced anything like this, I would greatly appreciate your input and advice. Even if you haven’t but you have an idea, anything is welcome.
