Is 30 days in prison, and 6 years of probation enough?

This happened close to my town a little bit ago. The driver at fault was 17 when the crash occurred. 
They found marijuana, alcohol & drug paraphernalia in her car. Her blood was negative for alcohol, marijuana did show up, but apparently not enough to alter her judgement. I’ve attached the full article in pictures below 👇🏻

No reckless driving, she wasn’t under the influence, and she was a minor. 
Hence the short sentence. 
Just because someone died, doesn’t mean you’re automatically given a life sentence.

It was an accident,  she didnt  have anything that impaired her driving. It was a bad accident but at the end of the day an accident.

She was distracted, how else would she not know she was crossing the line and not try to correct. 30 days is a joke!

even if she wasn’t under the influence, she should still go to jail for a while longer. i would say at least six months. you HAVE to be careful while driving. maybe just revoke her license for a year or two, but they have to do something. someone died and it was her fault, accident or not

I think that's perfectly reasonable. Says they dont know what caused the crash so you can't make assumptions. If it was texting, then the sentence should have been worse. But she could have just fallen asleep or something, and that's legally different than the other causes they ruled out (drunk driving).

Accidents happen. It sounds like nothing clearly shows she was at fault. She wasn’t impaired. She wasn’t proven to be texting. Etc.
