Induction leading to C-Section?

Question

How many of you ladies had an induction that resulted in C-Section? I’m 39 Weeks today and def. see myself going well over my due date. Baby boy just seems too comfortable lol. I would like to avoid induction and c-section but just curious on the statistics??

I was induced at 39 weeks 3 days due to hypertension. Resulted in a vaginal delivery. Went in 8 pm on the 25th, she was born at 9:13 pm on the 26th. Active labor was only 6 hours. 1 hour of pushing. Probably could have been less but she was face up. Walked away with a 2nd degree tear.

Okay that , makes me feel a little better , I have such a fear of getting a C-Section. And I guarantee I will have to be induced w/ this little one. Good to know it does not necessarily increase my chance of C-Section.
