Anyone have a story where everyone thought they were having a certain gender and they had the opposite???

So our gender reveal is on Sunday and EVERYONE is insisting that it’s a boy bc my husband’s side hasn’t had a girl born in 5 generations. Literally everyone thinks it’s a boy, even strangers who see my tummy 🤨
I’m hoping for a girl honestly will be happy either way though. Wanted to ask if anyone has a story where everyone thought they were having a certain gender and were surprised with the opposite?💗💙
Most old wives tales point to a girl and I feel like it’s a girl 🤷‍♀️

It’s literally a 50/50 chance at being right or wrong. I don’t get why people get so hung up on being right about it. It’s not intuition; it’s statistics and probability.

When me Mom was pregnant with my sister, she  was told she was having a boy. On her ultrasound even the doctor thought it was a boy. The day my sister came, everyone was surprised! She changed her name from Devin to Devon 😂

Your husband’s family sounds kind of like mine. We do have girls, but it is ALWAYS a boy first. My brother does genealogy stuff, and apparently, as far back as he could find, EVERY person in our family tree had a boy first. Like even though logically we know it’s a 50/50 chance.. not one person has broken the streak and had a girl first. 
My aunt has had two grandchildren born now to two of her kids, and both times she INSISTED it was a girl. Like I’m sorry but you married a Knox.. it’s gonna be a boy. 😂  Sure enough, they were boys. My brother also had a boy. 
I’m low-key hoping I break the streak though because my husband has 8 sisters. 🤞

It didn't happened to me but a friend of ours several doctors assure her she was having a girl. She had a baby shower got a ton of beautiful baby girl clothes, she decorated the room in pink and she already had a named picked. Our friend went for the last ultrasound and the doctor still told her it was a girl. The day of delivery came and thats when the surprise hit it was a boy, she had it natural. Now she has 2 boys and for that reason when i got pregnant i bought mostly neutral clothes just in case 😂

I just KNEW I was having a boy. Had dreams, gut feeling, thought early ultrasounds looked like boy features. Found out at 17w we’re having a girl. Was in denial, still thinking it was a boy. Anatomy scan came, still girl. Still a little in denial. Had an elective 3D/4D at 26w and she was still a she lol. After that I came to terms with our little bear being a girl. Had a growth scan last week at 37w, still a girl lol. Most old wives tales pointed to boy too.

I already had a daughter and with her, I knew it was a girl. This pregnancy I was leaning toward it being a boy. We were even told at the 12 week NT scan that the OB saw something “extra” between the legs. I had my anatomy scan, and sure enough, baby was a girl! Nothing between those legs at all! Very clearly a tiny girl!
