Induction tips/experiences?

Dr said they'll be using cervidil, then pitocin, and then break my water. Nervous FTM.. deff plan on getting epidural. Can/should I eat before? Any personal experiences?

Eat while you can. Once on pitocin or the other meds you will be on ice chips from then on out. My water broke with my son 3 days before he even came and I was on induction meds for like 12 hours and they had to stop them so I could eat real food bc my contractions were intense while walking but would stop and lengthen our when I would sit. you can eat up until they do the epidural, and just relax okay?

I had to be induced 3 days before my daughter's due date. got the tablets inserted at 6pm started contracting at 7pm. was on gas and air I didn't even think about eating although I did hallucinate and kept laughing at the midwives. baby Jasmine was born at 10.10pm. best thing you can do is relax and try to stay in tune with your body. believe me your body will let you know when it needs to push and what not. x

Go to dinner one last time with your husband as a family of two. I never expected my induction to be crazy, but it was, and I wish we had stopped for more than McDonald's on the way into the hospital 😂

That's a good plan,  I don't recommend starting with pitocin -its no joke.
