Alcohol & conception...

So I have 2 kids, both conceived when I use to drink alot, but now I dont really ever but my husband who is in the army (infantry) has been quite stressed ever since joining 2.5y ago and so has turned to drinking regularly, we have been trying to conceive #3 for nearly 2 years now with no luck, I have been checked thoroughly and I'm fine but husband hasn't had sperm checked yet, was wondering if alcohol consumption could be affecting his sperm count? stress? I'm not phased by his drinking his chill as a cucumber, but if it's quite likely to be the issue it would bug me. has anyone had their partners quit drinking or cut right back and ended up conceiving? or was it more long term issue?
