The pill

Hey, I've been taking birth control for less than a year but it affected my last period really weirdly so now I'm off. I heard that if I was to miss 3 pills in a row then I would ovulate right away. Yesterday I was supposed to start taking a new pack of pills but I didn't. so my question is , would I ovulate right away now that I'm done with birth control ?
