I had a blood test and scan at 13weeks to check for chromosomal abnormalities. Super non invasive.

I didn’t! Honestly it doesn’t matter to me. My daughter won’t be loved any less if something were wrong.

I have/am a carrier of Fragile X. I deferred all testing with this baby and with my son. they can detects chromosomal abnormalities but can't tell when how or if my baby will be afflicted. only option they give if something comes back wrong it possible termination at or around 19 weeks.  My son turned out 100% fine, and I'm sure this baby will be fine too. if not, she will be loved.

We opted not to because it wasn't fully covered with our insurance and the results wouldn't affect our continuation of the pregnancy.

Yeah just found out insurance doesn’t cover it so I’m not doing it 😊 I really wanted to do it for the gender part of it. I will love my baby either way ❤️

Here in the uk it’s offered under the nhs at you first scan, doesn’t harm the baby and having a baby with abnormalities before it’s a good thing to know.

I don't see any reason not to. It's non-invasive and I'd like to be prepared as early as possible if my child has abnormalities. I did the testing with my first and will do it again with my second.
