My brother passed away about a month ago. The same day he died my brothers room mate let my brothers girlfriend of 2 yrs in and my brothers bestfriend.They went thru his stuff and took things without asking my parents if it was Ok! They took my brothers jewelry that he wore everyday,his leather vest,song book ,drawings that he drew,some of his favorite shirts and we don't know what else! My parents were absolutely heart broken That they were robbed the opportunity too get some of my brothers things that would bring them comfort! Both of my parents want the jewelry back so they can each wear his ring but now the girlfriend and friend are both playing dumb acting like they don't know where anything is. The girlfriend dropped off the shirts she took said she to my niece (My brothers 10 yr old daughter) and the shirts were old ,ripped and faded! She definetly kept the nice shirts for herself.My Mom cries everyday and knowing they took things from her and it just makes it worse! What should we Do,Is it worth going too court over? It's literally their words against ours,we know they took the jewelry ***edit*** I forgot too mention the girlfriend and my brother have a 1yr old together. We want too go too the cops and file a report but are also scared she will keep the baby from us.Do grandparents have rights, can my parents receive visitation?
